Job Purpose

To provide support to the Corporate HR Department and other HR staff members within the company by performing various HR tasks.

Key Job Elements

• Maintains confidentiality of personal and employment data

• Responds to employee questions and inquiries about employee benefits programs and human resources policies

• Maintains information systems, prepares appropriate documentation, and processes necessary paperwork

• Resolves matters pertaining to employee benefit programs, including life, health, disability insurance, health care/dependent care flexible spending accounts, COBRA, income continuation, and paid time off as well as retirement and pension plans

• Process PeopleSoft transactions (New Hires, Transfers, Promotions, Supervisor Changes, Terminations, Leaves of Absence, etc.)

• Assists in conducting PeopleSoft audits

• Assists or prepares correspondence as requested

• Provides vendor support: BCBS, VSP, MetLife, ResourceOne, COBRAOne, Alight, eRailsafe, Equifax, Kenexa, The Work Number

• Redirects HR related calls to the appropriate person of the team

• Provides customer service support to HR Facility Reps, Facility Management and Corporate HR

• Maintains records of personnel-related data in both paper and database to ensure all employment requirements are met

• Produces and submits reports on general HR activity

• Liaises with other departments; including Payroll, Accounting, IT and Legal

• Assists in ad-hoc HR projects

• Supports the recruitment/hiring process by performing Kenexa activities (onboarding and updating records with new hires)

• Assists with providing compliance in all area of human resources

• Scans documents into appropriate employee files

• Coordinates multiple complex projects with challenging deadlines, including establishing project schedules and setting priorities

• Assists with additional projects, as assigned

Education / Training

• High School or GED equivalent required/Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field preferred

• Minimum one year data entry experience (PeopleSoft or other HR system preferred)

• Experience with HR/Employment procedures preferred

Qualifications and Experience

• Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required

• Experience with HRIS systems (PeopleSoft preferred)

• Demonstrates general knowledge sufficient to complete intermediate job tasks and prioritize workload

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Highly organized and efficient; skilled at multi-tasking

• Good time-management

• Positive and personable
