Job Purpose

The primary function of the role will be Inventory optimization and Root cause analysis. The individual will to identify inventory transfer opportunities or redirect customer demand to locations where dead stock exists. This requires evaluating historical consumption, lot sizes and reorder points, buffers and safety stocks, source of supply changes, vendor mins, and scale analysis. All these factors and more must be taken into consideration prior to transferring any material to help mitigate any future surplus.

This role will also use a TCO approach to determine the right course of action for Excess and obsolete material. This individual will work with purchasing and customer service to develop discounted pricing and evaluate any recoverable value from tear down/write downs opportunities. This individual will also request the disposal of material once all process steps have been completed and the material has reached an excessive age.

Key Job Elements

Prepares, analyzes and selects methods of presenting various statistical data;

Prepares data on charts and diagrams;

Searches out and corrects inconsistent data;

Solves statistical problems and develops new methods of analysis;

Writes reports and summaries of findings;

Develops and presents statistical data to other members of the organization;

Coordinates information between departments;

Frequent contact with others outside the work group.

This is a very cross functional role and requires significant participation from our process partners in engineering, purchasing, customer service, and business resources.

Education / Training

College with a major in Statistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent training.

Qualifications and Experience

Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex;

Medium level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others;

Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Office Suites;

Ability to work independently and to identify provide solutions to process improvements;

Well developed oral and written communications skills;

Proficiency with SAP.
