Job Purpose

Supply chain manager

Key Job Elements

Establishes and supervises production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules.

Supervise and coordinate loading and unloading of shipments.

Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, the CAT inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future.

Participates in management meetings to resolve issues working with both internal and external resources.

Ensures timely delivery of material required to support production across the entire business.

Supports new product integration.

Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.

Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and uses information to proactively communicate resolutions.

Plans, organizes, and maintains the layout of the warehouse, receiving, shipping, and delivery areas.

Experience operating material handling equipment; accessing information on a computer; reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.

Spends approximately 80% of time on the floor with associates building relationships, coaching, teaching, developing and providing performance feedback.

Sets and communicates clear expectations for team members regarding expected productivity results.

Qualifications and Experience

An Ideal candidate will have college credits or applied work experience in logistics and supply chain, managing inventory with strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated accomplishments showing results-driven methodology, analytical methods, schedule achievement, team work.
